Scott Beauchene has over 25 years of valuation experience including valuations of enterprises, partial interests, debt, complex financial instruments, and specific intangible assets. He serves large private and public companies, middle-market firms and emerging closely held companies. He participates in a wide variety of valuation engagements for financial statement reporting, tax planning and compliance, litigation and shareholder disputes and strategic planning. Scott provides customized client solutions in an industry often characterized by service providers with a commodity mindset.

Scott has extensive experience serving clients in a variety of industries including: biotechnology, computer hardware and software, computer networking, healthcare, financial services, Internet, manufacturing, media, natural resources, pharmaceuticals, retail, wholesale distribution, and telecommunications.

Representative engagements include:

  • Purchase price allocations and impairment analysis related to FASB ASC Topic 805: Business Combinations and FASB ASC Topic 350: Intangibles-Goodwill and Other
  • Common stock valuations for tax and financial reporting to comply with section 409A of the Internal Revenue Code and FASB ASC Topic 718: Compensation-Stock Compensation
  • Valuations for  tax planning and compliance, including appraisals performed for gift and estate tax reporting and corporate income tax issues
  • Valuation consulting and testimony related to dissenting shareholder litigation

Scott’s prior experience includes Arthur Andersen, Grant Thornton, and boutique valuation firm Willamette Management Associates. Scott is an Accredited Senior Appraiser through the American Society of Appraisers and also earned the Chartered Financial Analyst designation through the CFA Institute.
