Richard K. Cole Jr.
Dick Cole has over 33 years of experience in tax practice, primarily in the areas of corporate, reorganization and international tax matters. He has extensive experience with manufacturing and distribution, high tech and personal service businesses.
Dick’s broad experience in international taxation for a wide variety of businesses includes consultation and planning for inbound and outbound transactions, advice to U.S. businesses exporting abroad regarding export incentives and hybrid structures to maximize tax benefits, and the planning and implementation of tax-effective international restructurings. He also has extensive experience in tax controversies and in individual tax planning for nonresident aliens and expatriates.
Before joining Andersen Tax, Dick was a Tax Partner at Grant Thornton, and also served for eight years in the National Office of the Internal Revenue Service in Washington, D.C., where he focused on corporate, reorganization and international tax issues.
He also served as a Captain in the U.S. Army in Vietnam.
Dick is a frequent speaker at seminars and tax institutes on corporate and international tax topics. While in law school, Dick served as a member of, and authored articles for, the Boston College Industrial and Commercial Law Review. He also has written for Mertens Law of Federal Income Taxation and numerous tax journals.
