John O. Niemann Jr
John O. Niemann, Jr. has over 40 years of broad based experience in taxation, valuation, financial advisory services and related consulting services.
Since joining Andersen Tax, John has served as the Office Managing Director for the Houston and Dallas Offices and as a member of the Global Management Committee. He currently serves as the Regional Managing Director for the Central Region of the United States and as a member of the CEO’s Senior Advisory Board.
Before joining Andersen Tax, he was with Arthur Andersen. John served on Andersen’s firmwide Partnership Tax Specialty Team from 1985 until 1990. He headed the Valuation Services Group in the Houston office from 1987-1990; headed all Tax Special services for the Metro Houston area from 1990-1992; was the Deputy Regional Managing Partner and Head of Tax for the Southwest Region from 1992-1998; was the Regional Managing Partner of the Southwest Region (1998-2001), the West Region (2001-2002); and served as the President and Chief Operating Officer since 2003.
John also has public board experience, having served as the Chair of the audit committees of companies in the energy, real estate and financial services industries. Additionally, he has served on numerous non-profit boards, including: The University of St. Thomas; Strake Jesuit College Preparatory (Chair of Board); The Houston Symphony; The Alley Theatre; The Houston Youth Symphony and Ballet (Chair of Board); The Regis School of the Sacred Heart (Chair of Board); and Taping for the Blind Inc.
