Sonny Ankrah is the Office Managing Director for the Philadelphia office and a member of Andersen’s State and Local Tax practice. He has over 20 years of experience in providing consulting services on matters such as state income/franchise taxes, multistate practice and procedure, gross receipts taxes, and tax credits and incentives.

Sonny serves clients in a wide variety of industries, including financial services, retail, manufacturing and real estate. He has coordinated large state and local tax engagements for REITs, partnerships and other financing entities.

Sonny has extensive experience on matters such as preparation and review of tax returns, preparation and review of multistate tax compliance and planning memoranda, and overall corporate organizational restructuring. He has also played a key role in helping clients obtain tax credits and incentive packages in many states.

Before joining Andersen, Sonny was in the state and local tax practices of EY in Philadelphia and PwC in New York City.

Sonny has appeared as a guest speaker on state and local tax matters before the Tax Executives Institute.
