Andersen Hosting TEI Emerging Tax Professionals Series in New York

Tax Executives Institute (TEI) is the preeminent association for in-house tax professionals worldwide. Andersen is hosting the last series of TEI's New York Chapter Emerging Tax Professional Series. This event will take place on May 30, 2018 in New York, NY. Andersen Managing Directors will present "Planning after Tax Reform: Welcome to the Maze of Opportunities and Traps," which includes discussion on ways to minimize or eliminate the adverse effects of The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TJCA) changes.

The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA) turned the tax world upside down. Many well-known planning ideas are now traps for the unwary. Most importantly, these new provisions need to be considered together, along with their financial accounting impact. Planning for one issue can have unwanted consequences for another. At this event, options will be discussed to minimize or eliminate the adverse effect of those changes or take advantage of opportunities that TCJA presents. Given the widespread nature of today’s business world, changes affecting U.S. and foreign corporations and partnerships will be explored. These new rules present a unique opportunity for young professionals to use the new law as a bridge to expand their role in corporate America.

The Andersen Managing Directors who will speak at this event include:

TEI Members are business executives who are responsible for taxation matters on an administrative or policy-making level, or whose work is otherwise primarily concerned with the challenges of business taxation. TEI members are accountants, lawyers, and other corporate and business employees who are responsible for the tax affairs of their employers in an executive, administrative, or managerial capacity.
