Andersen Included in TEI’s 67th Midyear Conference Agenda

Tax Executives Institute (TEI) is the preeminent association of in-house tax professionals worldwide. Members are business executives who are responsible for taxation matters on an administrative or policy-making level, or whose work is otherwise primarily concerned with the challenges of business taxation. TEI members are accountants, lawyers, and other corporate and business employees who are responsible for the tax affairs of their employers in an executive, administrative, or managerial capacity.

TEI’s Midyear conference, U.S. Tax Policy & Reform, takes place at the Grand Hyatt in Washington, D.C. March 19-22, 2017. US National Tax Managing Directors, Chuck Chubb and Jeff Malo, and Managing Director, Francesco Marconi from Andersen Tax & Legal in Italy will present.

Chuck’s presentation is titled “Managing the Income Tax Accounting Function” and will take place Monday, March 20, 2017 from 4PM to 5:15PM  EST. Jeff is part of a panel, “Claiming Research Credits for Software Development after the Final Internal Use Software Regulations” on March 21st from 10:00AM to 11:00AM EST. Lastly,  Francesco will speak on “ VAT Developments Around the World”, March 22 from 8.30AM to 9:45AM EST.

Chuck Chubb is the Andersen National Practice Leader for ASC 740 Services and has over 30 years of experience advising a broad range of clients on accounting for income taxes and U.S. Federal, State and International tax technical issues. Chuck has extensive experience leading engagement teams in a multitude of issues including tax accounting for complex mergers, acquisitions and discontinued operations, income tax accounting and deferred and effective tax rate tax reviews among others.

Jeff Malo is a Managing Director in the Andersen US National Tax office, where he focuses on federal and state research credits. He has over 15 years of experience in both tax and government service. Jeff has extensive industry knowledge in technology and manufacturing, computer sciences, pharmaceuticals, and financial services. His background combines the technical expertise of Big Four consulting, with an in-depth understanding of tax administration. His experience spans the full lifecycle of taxation, from planning and reporting through examination defense and controversy resolution.

Francesco Marconi has specialized expertise in the fields of international tax planning, transfer pricing, and due diligence; assisting multinational companies in Italy and abroad, and interfacing with headquarters worldwide. He has extensive knowledge of tax issues and VAT, specifically related to the field of electronic commerce. Francesco works closely with many of the Andersen Global offices when issues relating to VAT on Italian tax compliance arise.
