Andersen to Participate in Cal Poly’s Speaker Series

Cal Poly’s Graduate Tax Guest Speaker Series brings leading accounting professionals into the classroom to share their real world experiences with students at Cal Poly, providing a unique platform from which to share questions and ideas with some of California’s top tax practitioners. The seminars cover an array of sophisticated tax topics ranging from partnership hedge fund allocations to reverse section 1031 exchanges.

Lindsay Chamings, Emily Hall and Shail Shah, Managing Directors in the San Francisco, will each present at a session during the 2016-2017 academic year.

Lindsay Chamings is a member of the Andersen Alternative Investment Funds Services group and works with alternative investments, including hedge funds, private equity funds, venture funds and fund of funds and related management companies. She has more than 12 years of experience ranging from financial services taxation, ASC 740, and international tax.

Emily Hall has over 10 years of experience in public accounting. Her practice area focuses on corporate federal and state tax compliance, consulting, and provision services for public and privately held clients. As part of the Commercial group, Emily focuses on helping clients coordinate corporate income tax planning  and compliance. She also assist clients with income tax provision preparation and coordination with client’s financial statement auditors.

Shail Shah, a member of the State and Local Tax group began his career in tax in 2006. He has significant experience advising clients in many state and local tax areas including state tax controversies, tax planning, and Buy-side and sell-side due diligence, as well as post-merger and acquisition integration consulting.
