Andersen Tax to Present at TEI Chicago Event
Tax Executives Institute (TEI) is the preeminent association of in-house tax professionals worldwide. Members are business executives who are responsible for taxation matters on an administrative or policy-making level, or whose work is otherwise primarily concerned with the challenges of business taxation. TEI members are accountants, lawyers, and other corporate and business employees who are responsible for the tax affairs of their employers in an executive, administrative, or managerial capacity.
The TEI Chicago Chapter’s event on November 12th will be held at the Metropolitan Club between 9:00AM-4:00PM central. Chuck Chubb, David Freeman, Dennis Minich, Andrew Bernard, Kevin Kiyan, Dorice Pepin and Rosa De Luna-Frede will be covering “Advanced Accounting for Income Taxes – Year End Update.”
Chuck Chubb is the Andersen Tax National Practice Leader for ASC 740 Services and has over 30 years of experience advising a broad range of clients on accounting for income taxes and U.S. Federal, State and International tax technical issues.
David Freeman has over 30 years of experience providing tax planning advice to both publicly held and private businesses, their owners, and their key executives. Dave works with clients in the manufacturing, distribution, service, and technology industries. He also has extensive experience working with private equity groups, their principals, and their portfolio companies.
Dennis Minich has over 38 years of tax experience and is part of US National Tax for Andersen Tax. Dennis specializes in compensation and employee benefit issues, primarily relating to qualified retirement plans, nonqualified plans, employee health and welfare benefits and executive compensation. He serves companies in a wide variety of industries.
Andrew Bernard has over 30 years of experience with U.S. and international tax matters. His international practice areas include taxable and tax-free international mergers, acquisitions, and restructurings for U.S. and non-U.S. based corporations, partnerships and S corporations.
Kevin Kiyan is a Managing Director in our US National Tax office and the firm’s Transfer Pricing leader. Kevin has over 27 years of professional experience and has led all major aspects of Transfer Pricing issues, including planning/feasibility analyses, IP migration/ restructuring, cost-sharing, Advanced Pricing Agreements (APAs), audit defense/ litigation and global transfer pricing documentation.
Dorice Pepin has over 30 years of experience advising clients in many areas of state and local taxation. Dorice helps companies with planning for the effects of business acquisitions, reorganizations, tax examinations and changes in state and local tax laws on multistate and multinational business operations. She has served retailing, manufacturing and financial services companies in planning for the unique implications of multistate income and sales/use tax provisions on business activities.
Rosa De Luna-Frede has over 15 years of experience in advising publicly held and private companies on tax matters such as tax compliance, accounting for income taxes, accounting methods, and tax audits. She also focuses in the mergers and acquisition area, specifically on structuring, due diligence and analyzing the tax treatment of transaction costs.
