Tax Executives Institute (TEI) is the preeminent association for in-house tax professionals worldwide. The TEI Financial Reporting Seminar will take place May 15-16, 2018 at the Omni Mandalay Hotel at Las Colinas in Irving. This seminar is a yearly event and one of the more popular events that the Tax Executives Institute offers. Andersen Tax Managing Directors, Rosa De Luna-Frede and Chris Devoe, will lead a presentation at this event on Tuesday, May 15. Their topic is on Valuation Allowances and Uncertain Tax Positions.

Rosa De Luna-Frede has over 17 years of experience advising publicly held and private companies on tax matters such as Accounting for Income Taxes, Accounting Methods, Tax Controversies, and Federal & State Tax Compliance. Rosa also focuses in the Mergers and Acquisition area, specifically in tax structuring, tax due diligence, integration of post-transaction tax matters including business combination requirements under ASC 740, and analyzing the tax treatment of transaction costs.

Chris DeVoe is a Managing Director in Andersen Tax’s Greenwich office. He has over 15 years of tax experience, in both public and private practice. Chris specializes in providing ASC 740 and tax operations services, with a focus on assisting clients in implementing global best in class processes. In addition, he has extensive experience in all areas of the tax life cycle, including journal entry preparation and quarter close procedures through the filing of Federal and State corporate tax returns and the subsequent return to provision analyses.

The TEI Financial Reporting Seminar will offer two distinct tracks, one covering advanced topics and the other covering fundamental principles. The seminar is organized around core ASC 740 principles, but will also include ways to implement and report tax reform impacts. This year the seminar will also feature the popular “Ask the Experts” panel where attendees can present their most challenging financial reporting questions to a panel of experts.
