Duffy to Address Los Angeles Middle Market Advisory Council
Los Angeles Middle Market Advisory Council (LAMMAC) was created with the intent to facilitate and generate business amongst the members. Members rely on other members’ knowledge and expertise to help their own clients. LAMMAC members include senior professionals of their respective fields located in the Southern California middle market. Each member aspires to use our time more efficiently and refer business to best-of-class providers willing and able to reciprocate. The group is focused on three main goals: to generate new business, to educate members, and to enable us to maintain leadership.
Mary Duffy will present to the group on March 31, 2015. She will cover the President’s proposed tax increases for high income individuals and the financial sector.
Mary Duffy is a Managing Director in the Andersen Tax U.S. National Tax Office. Mary’s experience includes advising clients on complex tax accounting issues, including issues arising as a part of IRS examinations and the financial statement implications of such issues under Accounting Standards Codification 740 and managing large implementation projects related to tax accounting methods.
Prior to joining Andersen Tax, Mary served as one of two Legislation Tax Accountants with the Joint Committee on Taxation (JCT). While with the JCT, Mary worked with key tax personnel within Congress in the development and drafting of tax legislation as well as various tax reform options. Mary also assisted in the review of large taxpayer refund claims submitted to Internal Revenue Service involving complex tax matters.
