Duffy to Moderate Session at ABA Tax Section Event

The American Bar Association (ABA) is one of the world’s largest voluntary professional organizations, with nearly 400,000 members and more than 3,500 entities.  It is committed to doing what only a national association of attorneys can do: serving their members, improving the legal profession, eliminating bias and enhancing diversity, and advancing the rule of law throughout the United States and around the world.

Mary Duffy will be moderating, Examination Items and Issues Pertaining to Tangible Property at the ABA’s Tax Section 2016 May Meeting, May 5-7, 2016 in Washington, D.C. This panel will focus on items and issues that IRS examination teams are highlighting pertaining to tangible property as they work through implementation of the tangible property regulations.

Mary Duffy is a Managing Director in Andersen’s US National Tax office and is the co-leader of Andersen’s accounting methods team. Immediately prior to joining Andersen, Mary served as one of two Legislation Tax Accountants with the Joint Committee on Taxation (JCT) from 2011 to 2013. While with the JCT, Mary worked with key tax personnel within Congress on the development and drafting of tax legislation as well as various tax reform proposals.
