Feria and Minich to Speak on Accounting for Income Taxes
Bloomberg BNA | CITE, was formed to educate U.S. and foreign multinationals and companies engaged in international business on the tax, legal and accounting aspects of doing business overseas. Seminar speakers are experts in internal taxation and finance fields and the participants include a broad range of corporate multinational companies. Dean Feria and Dennis Minich will present Current Issues in Accounting for Income Taxes, an advanced technical update on key tax accounting issues facing tax practitioners in preparing the 2013 global corporate tax provision under ASC 740.
The event takes place November 11-12 in Chicago, IL. Topics such as the consequences of making a basis step-up election under Sec. 338 – interrelationship with purchase accounting, the effect of expense apportionment on the U.S. tax liability and tax provision, and special issues involved in mergers and acquisitions will be discussed.
Dean Feria has over 17 years of experience in providing valuation services to corporate enterprises, high net worth individuals and private equity funds. As leader of WTAS’ Florida Valuation Practice, he participates in valuation engagements for financial statement reporting, tax planning and compliance, litigation, mergers, strategic planning and restructuring.
Dennis Minich has over 35 years of tax experience. Dennis specializes in compensation and employee benefit issues, primarily relating to qualified retirement plans, nonqualified plans, employee health and welfare benefits and executive compensation.
