Freda to Chair and Present at Tax Seminar for Early Stage Companies
Tax Aspects for Early Stage Companies in NYC: A Guide to Successful Business Tax Planning will take place Tuesday, December 10, 2013 beginning at 9:00am in New York City, NY.
The seminar is designed to familiarize practitioners with the numerous tax issues that early stage companies and their owners frequently encounter. The course will review the income tax advantages and disadvantages associated with operating as a corporation, S corporation, partnership, limited liability company and sole proprietorship. A review of the various state and city indirect taxes with a focus on sales and use taxes will also be provided. At the owner level, time will be devoted to the tax issues surrounding equity based compensation packages. A portion of the course will also be devoted to a review of the various credits and incentives programs available to early stage companies.
Ray Freda will provide the opening introduction as well as present Equity Based Compensation which will discuss the different compensation options for founders and early employees.
