New Protocol on the Agreement Between Mexico and Spain to Avoid Double Taxation

On August 18, 2017, the Mexican Government published the new protocol on the treaty to avoid double taxation between Mexico and Spain. This new protocol considers Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (BEPS) measures and amends various clauses including those related to dividend and interest payments. The protocol will come into effect on September 27, 2017.

New Agreement Between Mexico and Argentina to Avoid Double Taxation and Tax Evasion

In 2015, Mexico and Argentina signed a treaty to avoid double taxation with the objective of promoting economic development and mutual cooperation in the tax collection arena. The treaty was recently published and has entered into force on August 23, 2017.
