Hawn & Long to Give Update on Revenue Recognition Accounting

Revenue Recognition Accounting Update 2017 (ASC606) will take place April 20, 2017, at the Courtyard Downtown in Boston, MA. The seminar will go through the new Revenue Recognition Standard guidance and address the latest developments in key areas, significant changes, scope, disclosure and impacts. Jessica Hawn and Bill Long will present on the Tax Impacts of the New Book Revenue Recognition Rules.

Jessica Hawn is a Senior Manager in the Andersen U.S. Tax Office. She advises clients on complex tax accounting matters, including assisting with IRS examinations and implementing accounting method change projects. Jessica’s experience includes working with public and private companies across a broad array of industries including manufacturing, distribution, retail, and oil and gas on complex inventory accounting methods matters. Jessica has assisted large and small taxpayers with various inventory valuation matters, including identification of the costs required to be capitalized to inventory, assisting with the design of the cost accounting methodology, LIFO calculations, and uniform capitalization computations to simplify complex computations, and/or minimize exposure.

Bill Long is a Senior Manager in the Andersen U.S. Tax Office. His practice area focuses on federal and state tax compliance, consulting, and provision services for public and privately held clients. He helps clients coordinate corporate and pass-through income tax planning and compliance and has experience assisting clients with income tax provision preparation under ASC 740 and loss limitation calculations under IRC Section 382. Bill has worked with taxpayers of various sizes in industries including biotechnology, pharmaceutical, online retail, and farming.
