New Director Joins Growing Valuation Practice at WTAS

Eric Garfield, former Vice President at FMV Opinions, recently joined the Los Angeles office of WTAS LLC as a Director in the Valuation Services group.

Garfield has performed valuations on an array of property types including Class A office buildings, industrial buildings, sports arenas, skilled-nursing facilities, assisted-living facilities, shopping centers, hotels and land. He has performed valuations and consulting assignments for purposes of estate tax/planning, financing, litigation support, acquisition/disposition and internal decision-making. His past clientele includes attorneys, lenders, developers and private investors. Garfield has testified in depositions and provided background research for litigation involving real estate.

“Eric’s expertise is a great resource for our clients with respect to valuation, tax and planning,” said Kurt Brune, the Office Managing Director for the Los Angeles office.

Eric is a member of the Appraisal Institute (MAI), the Royal Institute of the Chartered Surveyors (RICS), and is licensed as a Certified General Appraiser in multiple states. He is the sixth new Director to join WTAS in 2009.
