NTO Roadshow: Chicago – “Tax Issues Affecting You”
Members of the WTAS National Tax Office including, Andrew Bernard, Chuck Chubb, Tom Cryan, Ellen MacNeil and Dennis Minich will be presenting at a Roundtable Discussion hosted by the WTAS Chicago office. The event will take place on Wednesday June 26th from 3-5pm at the Union League Club of Chicago.
Andrew Bernard, who sits in the Philadelphia office, will present an International Tax Update. He has over 29 years of experience with U.S. and international tax matters in areas including taxable and tax-free international mergers, acquisitions, and restructurings for U.S. and non-U.S. based corporations, partnerships and S corporations.
Chuck Chubb has over 30 years of experience advising a broad range of clients on accounting for income taxes and US Federal, State and International tax technical issues. His talk is Preparing for the Financial Statement Impact of Tax Reform.
Thomas Cryan's presentation, Controversy Process Overview, will cover complex provisions of the Internal Revenue Code, including the statute of limitations for deficiencies and overpayments, reporting foreign financial accounts and various other procedural statues and regulations. He has over 22 years of experience in assisting clients in tax controversies. In this capacity he has represented clients before the IRS in pre-filing agreements, the examination phase through the appeals phase and post appeals mediation.
Ellen MacNeil leads the WTAS National Tax Office. She has over 30 years of experience in tax consulting for major US businesses. Ellen is a member of the board of directors of The Tax Council and speaks at numerous tax institutes. Her presentation is titled, Deficits, Politics and Policy: A Tax Legislative Outlook.
Dennis Minich as a specialist in compensation and employee benefit issues, primarily relating to qualified retirement plans, nonqualified plans, employee health and welfare benefits and executive compensation, will present a Compensation and Benefit Update.
