Tauber to Address Taxpayers’ Federation of Illinois (TFI)
The Taxpayers’ Federation of Illinois was issued its State Charter on November 1, 1940, to act as a government watchdog and ‘efficiency expert’ in matters of public finance. As the Illinois tax code and the reach of government expanded through the Twentieth Century, the Taxpayers’ Federation evolved into the state’s most respected and effective advocate for taxpayers and business, performing policy research and educating public officials and opinion leaders on current fiscal issues under consideration and debate. TFI advocates policies that will deliver efficient government services and use a responsible tax structure that encourages investment and job creation in the state.
Jim Tauber will present at the TFI SALT Conference on September 18, 2014 in Rolling Meadows, Illinois.
With over 30 years of experience, Jim Tauber brings expertise to each session where discussion topics will include recent/proposed changes affecting property taxes, what to include in a due diligence review to determine if there are outstanding or hidden sales/use tax liabilities and other relevant issues. Jim has extensive business and tax experience including providing tax, technology, and business consulting services in many areas of state and local sales/use and transaction taxes. Before joining Andersen Tax, Jim worked in the state and local tax practices at two international professional services firms where he served as regional service-line leader of the sales/use tax automation practices, focusing on transaction tax process improvement and technology implementation.
