Tauber to Present at Chicago Tax Club Fall Seminar
The 62nd Annual Fall Seminar of The Chicago Tax Club will be held at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Illinois on Wednesday and Thursday, November 4 and 5, 2015. Jim Tauber will be moderating a panel on Sales, Use & Property Tax. This session will provide a general overview of unclaimed property including the types of escheatable property, sourcing rules, dormancy periods and mitigation strategies. Recent cases, legislative updates, in-house policy and procedure considerations, state audit issues, and voluntary disclosure/amnesty programs will also be discussed. An update on the status of the Uniform Law Commission's draft revisions for the proposed Unclaimed Property Act of 2016 will conclude the session.
James Tauber has more than 30 years of experience providing accounting, tax, technology and consulting services in various areas of state and local indirect tax.
