WTAS Promotes a Total of 51 Employees in January

WTAS, one of the largest independent tax firms in the country, promoted a total of 51 employees this January including 4 Managing Directors, 12 Directors, 6 Senior Managers, 13 Managers and 16 Senior Associates.

In WTAS Boston, John Nestor, Kellie Neuhaus, and Melinda Tuffy were promoted to Directors in Private Client Services while Sandrine Benevides was promoted to Director in the Investment Consulting Services Practice. In addition to these tax and investment Director promotions, the Boston office has promoted Caitlin Gardner and Shannon O’Neil to Managers. The Chicago office of WTAS announced a total of three promotions. Sean Bruen was promoted to Director; Bruen has over 11 years of business experience and practices in the firm’s Commercial Services Practice. The Los Angeles office of WTAS announced a total of nine promotions in January 2013, including R.J. Starr who was promoted to Managing Director for WTAS Los Angeles after seven years of service with the Valuation Services Practice. Other promotions in Los Angeles include Director: Brian Reichert with the Valuation Services Practice; Senior Managers: Daniel Roberts and Nick Kuo; Managers: Chantha Dinelli and Humayun Riaz; and Senior Associates: David Amurao, Jeremy Marcus and Vince Ying. Kurt Heinrichson also recently joined the Los Angeles office of WTAS as a Managing Director in the State and Local Tax Practice. WTAS promoted eight in New York metro including Private Client Services Managing Director, Michael J. Van De Loo. The New York office also announced two new Director promotions: James O’Brien and Naman Trivedi. Other promotions in New York include Senior Managers: Christopher Carreira, Dion Demetropoulos, Eleni Sakkos, Carolina Strobino; and Senior Associate: Joyce Huang. In WTAS Philadelphia, Michael Connolly was promoted to Senior Associate in the Commercial Services Practice.

The San Francisco office of WTAS announced a total of 15 promotions, including Managing Director, Margaret Lip, adding to its team of 19 Managing Directors in San Francisco. Hazel Dolio Tag-at, Brendan Love, and Megan Williams were promoted to Director in the Private Client Services, Valuation and Marketing Practices, respectively. Other promotions in San Francisco include Managers: William Long, Brian Hagerty, Kane Duncan, Kathryn Dery, Michael Barrett and Christy Peterson; and Senior Associates: Jarryd Johnson, Jonathan French, Lu Shan Li, Michelle Zetah and Winnie Lai. Christopher Eulau was promoted to Senior Associate in WTAS’ Palo Alto office. Shaun Dublin was also recently hired in the San Francisco office as Director in the Private Client Services Practice. In Seattle, Julia Eng was recently promoted. Julia will now serve as Manager in the State and Local Tax Practice. 

The Washington, D.C. office of WTAS, located in McLean, Virginia announced a total of four promotions. W. Aaron Hawthorne was promoted to Managing Director in the Washington, D.C. office after seven years of service with the Private Client Services Practice. Mary McCormick, who accumulated over eight years of experience in the WTAS Investment Consulting Practice has been promoted to Director.
