WTAS to Participate in TEI’s 64th Midyear Conference
Tax Executives Institute (TEI) is the preeminent association of in-house tax professionals worldwide. Members are business executives who are responsible for taxation matters on an administrative or policy-making level, or whose work is otherwise primarily concerned with the challenges of business taxation. TEI members are accountants, lawyers, and other corporate and business employees who are responsible for the tax affairs of their employers in an executive, administrative, or managerial capacity.
TEI’s Midyear conference provides updates on legislative, regulatory, and judicial developments relating to federal, state & local, international, and Canadian taxation, as well as to analyze the effect of financial reporting developments on effective operation for corporate tax departments. It will take place March 23-26, 2014 at the Grand Hyatt Washington in Washington, D.C.
In addition to being a gold sponsor, several WTAS Managing Directors are participating. Two members of the WTAS National Tax Office will be presenting. Charles Chubb is on a panel titled Post Mortem on 2013 Year End - living with the new normal while Dennis Minich is speaking on advanced topics in accounting for stock-based compensation. Chris Rice, Dorice Pepin, Ellen MacNeil and other east coast Managing Directors will also attend and manage the WTAS exhibit booth.
Chuck Chubb is the WTAS National Practice Leader for ASC 740 Services and has over 30 years of experience advising a broad range of clients on accounting for income taxes and U.S. Federal, State and International tax technical issues.
Dennis Minich has over 38 years of tax experience. Dennis specializes in compensation and employee benefit issues, primarily relating to qualified retirement plans, nonqualified plans, employee health and welfare benefits and executive compensation. He serves companies in a wide variety of industries.
