WTAS to Speak at Tax Executive Institute Seattle
Tax Executives Institute (TEI) is the preeminent association of in-house business tax professionals worldwide. Members are business executives who are responsible for taxation matters on an administrative or policy-making level, or whose work is otherwise primarily concerned with the challenges of business taxation. TEI members are accountants, lawyers, and other corporate and business employees who are responsible for the tax affairs of their employers in an executive, administrative, or managerial capacity.
Greg Alwood, Chuck Chubb, Catherine Iwicki and Ellen MacNeil will present Turning the Corner: Accounting Method Planning. As the economy improves and fundamental tax reform gathers steam, accounting method planning offers opportunities to manage cash and tax attributes. The event will take place September 18, 2013 at the Bellevue Club in Bellevue, Washington.
Greg Alwood has over 30 years of experience in federal and international corporate tax consulting. He has advised on mergers and acquisitions, accounting for income taxes, inbound and outbound international structures, income tax treaty issues, including permanent establishment issues, and foreign tax credit optimization.
Chuck Chubb, National Practice Leader for ASC 740 Service Line, has over 30 years of experience advising a broad range of clients on accounting for income taxes and US Federal, State and International tax technical issues.
Catherine Iwicki has over 23 years of tax experience. She has served a wide variety of entities, including large public companies, middle-market firms and emerging closely held companies.
Ellen MacNeil leads the WTAS National Tax Office. She has over 30 years of experience in tax consulting for major US businesses. Ellen is a member of the board of directors of The Tax Council and speaks at numerous tax institutes. Her presentation will provide a Legislative Update.
