WTAS Welcomes New Director to San Francisco Alternative Investment Funds Practice

Hai Tang joined WTAS as a Director in the Alternative Investment Funds Practice in the San Francisco office. Prior to joining WTAS, Hai was a Tax Director at PwC.

Hai has more than 10 years of experience in professional tax and accounting services. His practice area focuses on partnership, international and M&A tax for venture capital and private equity clients. He also has extensive experience and in-depth knowledge of partnership, corporate and international tax, encompassing compliance, consulting and provision.

“Hai will be a great asset to the alternative investment funds practice, and our team will benefit from his extensive skills and expertise,” said Frank Cassidy, Office Managing Director for the San Francisco office.

Hai received his Bachelor of Science degree and Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Science and Technology of China and University of Chicago, respectively. He received his master’s degree in Taxation from Golden Gate University. He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, and CFA Institute. Hai is also fluent in Mandarin Chinese.
