Wayne Trumbull, Managing Director in Andersen’s Long Island office, has over 25 years of tax experience all focused on advising clients with respect to complex state income and sales and use tax matters. 

Wayne’s primary focus is serving middle market companies. His areas of concentration are tax compliance, tax planning and structuring, tax controversy, voluntary disclosure initiatives and impact of acquisitions, dispositions and changes in state tax laws on his client’s state effective tax rate. Wayne also specializes in the state tax side of ASC 740 accounting for income taxes, including identifying and resolving uncertain tax positions (FIN 48) and FAS 5 concerns. He has extensive experience advising on sales and use tax systems, compliance and taxability of products and services.

Before joining Andersen, Wayne was a Managing Director in a national tax consulting firm which acquired a boutique tax firm that he helped found. In addition, he previously was with EY in New York.
