Bernard, Harles and Peake Presenting at TEI Central PA Quarterly Meeting

Tax Executives Institute (TEI) is the preeminent association of in-house tax professionals worldwide. Members are business executives who are responsible for taxation matters on an administrative or policy-making level, or whose work is otherwise primarily concerned with the challenges of business taxation. TEI members are accountants, lawyers, and other corporate and business employees who are responsible for the tax affairs of their employers in an executive, administrative, or managerial capacity.

The Central Pennsylvania TEI Chapter quarterly breakfast meeting takes place on November 14, 2017 in Philadelphia, PA. Andrew Bernard, Andersen Managing Director, will be co-presenting along with Ellen Harles, Andersen Director, and Jean Peake, Andersen Senior Manager. The three of them will be presenting on the topic of “Year-End Tax Planning in Light of US Tax Reform, Recent Regulations and Cases.” 

Andrew Bernard has over 32 years of experience with U.S. and international tax matters. His international practice areas include taxable and tax-free international mergers, acquisitions, and restructurings for U.S. and non-U.S. based corporations, partnerships and S corporations. His clients include family-owned closely held businesses and emerging companies as well as large publicly traded corporations.

Ellen Harles has over 28 years of tax experience advising clients ranging from emerging businesses, large family owner-operated businesses and multinational companies, both private and public. Ellen’s specific areas of tax and business experience includes managing large consolidated federal and multi-state corporate and pass-through tax compliance projects for both U.S. owned and foreign-owned companies, many under private equity ownership.

Jean Peake has extensive experience in managing corporate tax engagements and the review of large PCS engagements for home office individual returns and trust tax returns. She also has expertise in the review of U.S. international tax compliance. Jean has been with the company for over 9 years, based in the Philadelphia office location.
