Bernard to Speak at the Foreign Tax Credits Seminar
Organized by Networking Seminars, Foreign Tax Credits will review key issues in foreign tax credit planning and provide an update on recently passed legislation. Attendees will discuss in detail what qualifies for a credit, limitations on claiming the credit, determining the creditable tax, how to compute overall foreign and domestic losses and recent legislative updates on covered asset acquisitions and foreign tax credit splitter transactions. Overview of the Rules Affecting Foreign Tax Credits and Understanding the Foreign Tax Credit Mechanics: Sections 901, 902, 960 & 903 will be presented by WTAS Managing Director, Andrew Bernard. It will cover an overview of the rules affecting foreign tax credits including direct and indirect foreign tax credits, special rules for FTCs and sourcing rules.
Andrew Bernard has over 29 years of experience with U.S. and international tax matters. His international practice areas include taxable and tax-free international mergers, acquisitions, and restructurings for U.S. and non-U.S. based corporations, partnerships and S corporations.
