Freda to Speak at Two Interstate Tax Corporation Conferences
Interstate Tax Corporation, now in its 23rd year of doing business, continues to train and update state tax practitioners on how to properly navigate the interstate tax system. The company has dedicated itself to the education of multistate tax professionals in industry, consulting and government through four seminars held in the spring and fall of each year and its publication, Interstate Tax Insights.
Ray Freda will present on two topics during the Advanced Sales & Use conference on May 17 in Miami Beach, FL and again at the Sales & Use Tax Planning seminar on June 18 in New York, NY. His two topics are Accounting for Undisclosed Sales & Use Tax Liabilities and Ethical and Procedural Issues in Managing Transactional Taxes which will cover the effect of Sarbanes-Oxley on recordkeeping for sales and use taxes; how to put internal controls in place to ensure that the sales and use tax department is run with ethics and integrity.
Raymond Freda has over 15 years of state and local tax experience in advising clients with respect to income/franchise, gross receipts, sales and use, property, employment, and other state industry-specific excise taxes. He represents corporate and individual clients during state tax audits, conciliation conferences, and other administrative proceedings.
