Hofstra Adds Schneidman to Private Wealth & Taxation Institute Agenda
The Private Wealth & Taxation Institute is a Continuing Professional Education Series presented in part by Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University. The program is intended for real estate professionals, business owners, attorneys, CPAs and financial advisors. The event takes place May 24-25, 2017 at Hofstra University.
Len Schneidman will present alongside Prof. Alan I. Appel and Assistant US Attorney, Sarah E. Paul on May 25 at 9:45 AM EST. Their topic, titled, “’Hiding the Ball’ Anonymity, Tax Law and the U.S. as the World’s Favorite New Tax Haven” will uncover the reasons behind the U.S. becoming a more favorable destination tax-wise.
Len Schneidman has over 40 years of experience in international taxation. His work includes counseling clients on structuring and operation of private investment funds, advising high net worth foreign investors on U.S. investments and activities, helping U.S. and non-U.S. corporate clients with tax-efficient structuring of their business operations, and advising clients on the reporting of undisclosed income and/or foreign financial assets from offshore accounts through the IRS Offshore Voluntary Disclosure Program (OVDP) or Streamlined Filing Compliance Procedures, and Report of Foreign Bank and Financial Accounts (FBAR).
