Merickel to present at Chicago Bar Association’s SALT Committee Meeting
The Chicago Bar Association’s State & Local Tax Committee studies legislative, judicial and administrative developments in the state and local tax area, with special emphasis on Illinois income tax and all sales, use and other taxes, except real estate property taxes imposed by Illinois state and local governments. The committee analyzes and comments upon numerous tax bills introduced in the Illinois General Assembly and recommends legislation to improve the fairness or administration of Illinois tax laws.
Carrie Merickel will speak on December 8, 2014 at the SALT Committee’s monthly meeting on the states’ adoption of market-based sourcing rules focusing on the lack of uniformity in the application of market-based sourcing rules for services.
Carrie Merickel has 7 years of experience advising clients on state and local tax matters with respect to income/franchise, gross receipts and sales and use tax. She assists her clients with multistate tax compliance, tax planning and representation at administrative matters with the states.
