Schneidman Speaking at NYU Tax Conference in July
The New York University Summer Institute in Taxation conference series offers in-depth sessions on state and local taxation, partnerships, consolidated returns, trusts and estates, federal wealth tax, and international taxation. The NYU conference series this year takes place July 16-27, 2018 at The Westin New York at Times Square in New York, NY. Andersen Tax Managing Director, Leonard Schneidman, will speak on a panel at the event. His topic is on "Current Issues for Foreign Portfolio Investors," which will include an overview of rules governing the U.S. taxation of portfolio investment by foreign persons and an analysis of the trading safe harbors.
Len Schneidman has over 40 years of experience in international taxation. His work includes counseling clients on structuring and operation of private investment funds, advising high net worth foreign investors on U.S. investments and activities, helping U.S. and non-U.S. corporate clients with tax-efficient structuring of their business operations, and advising clients on the reporting of undisclosed income and/or foreign financial assets from offshore accounts through the IRS Offshore Voluntary Disclosure Program (OVDP) or Streamlined Filing Compliance Procedures, and Report of Foreign Bank and Financial Accounts (FBAR).
