Tauber to Participate in the CTC 60th Annual Fall Seminar
The Chicago Tax Club will hold the 60th Annual Fall Seminar on October 23 and 24, 2013, at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, IL. The program includes nationally recognized speakers, authors and tax technicians, who will be addressing a variety of current tax issues.
WTAS Managing Director, Jim Tauber, will participate in the seminar by moderating a session on property tax updates October 23 and presenting M&A: Sales & Use Tax Due Diligence and Contract Considerations on October 24. With over 30 years of experience, Jim brings expertise to each session where discussion topics will include recent or proposed changes affecting property taxes, what to include in a due diligence review to determine if there are outstanding or hidden sales and use tax liabilities and other relevant issues.
Jim's extensive business and tax experience includes providing tax, technology, and business consulting services in many areas of state and local tax. He assists companies with all aspects of sales, use and transaction taxes including audit defense, compliance outsourcing, compliance process review/automation, exemption certificate management process review/automation development of technical/procedure manuals, hearings/settlement negotiations, nexus reviews, refund analysis, Sarbanes-Oxley consulting (process documentation, testing & remediation), tax software implementation, training, transactional analysis, and voluntary disclosure.
