Vorsatz to Present at Institute for Private Investors Forum

The Institute for Private Investors (IPI) is a private membership organization that provides peer-to-peer networking and investor education for its members. The organization was founded in 1991 by Charlotte B. Beyer.[2] Its mission is to change the way investors work with advisors and advisors work with investors, for the benefit of both. The association sells no investment products or consulting services, and all of its revenue is derived from membership dues and educational fees.

Mark Vorsatz will present Back to the Future: Income and Estate Planning Strategies in a New Tax Environment on February 5-6, 2014 in San Francisco. With the repeal of the Bush tax cuts, the addition of the Affordable Care Tax and increase in some state tax rates, clients are pursuing new strategies to minimize income taxes. These techniques can be combined with estate planning concepts to optimize planning strategies. Mark will also address the potential for major tax reform and likely changes and those potential implications.

Mark Vorsatz is Managing Director and Co-Founder of WTAS and has served as the Chief Executive Officer since the firm's inception in 2002. Mark works exclusively with individuals in the design and implementation of customized income tax and estate planning solutions. His client base is limited to founders and/or substantial shareholders of public companies, owners of closely held businesses, and high net worth family groups. He focuses on preserving wealth for multi-generational families.

Mark has over 30 years of experience in tax practice. Before joining WTAS, he was a Tax Partner at Arthur Andersen from 1987 to 2002. Mark served on the firm-wide Family Wealth Planning Team from 1982 to 2002 and led the firm's Private Client Service Group in San Francisco.
